Retired major murdered

Bareilly, Feb 19 (UNI) Unidentified assailants shot dead a retired major in this district of Uttar Pradesh today.

Gurvachan Singh Mahal, a resident of Avas Vikas colony, was shot dead near the head post office in Civil Lines area.

Family dispute was said to be the reason behind the crime, police said.

Meanwhile, investigations were on.
