Nitish condemns explosion in Samjhauta Express

Patna, Feb 19 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today condemned the attack on Samjhauta Express which claimed at least 66 lives midnight last night near Panipat in Haryana.

Expressing his shock and grief, Mr Kumar described the attack as "dastardly act" and said the aspect of lapses in security system, if any, would be ascetrained only after an indepth inquiry.

He urged the Centre to make thorough probe into the tragic incident to expose the forces behind such cowardice act.

To a query, Mr Kumar said he would not demand resignation of Railways Minister Lalu Prasad as the ministry was being virtually run by its officers.

" Instead of discharging his duties in New Delhi, Mr Prasad spends most of his time in Patna'' he quipped.
