NFC reiterates demands, lauds

Itanagar, Feb 19 (UNI) The Nyishi Federal Council (NFC) has lauded the state government for incorporating an arterial road from Kurung Kumey to Upper Subansiri districts of the state.

The road connects Yangte-Tali in Kurung Kumey district to Lemeking via Langdang-Kolling in Upper Subansiri district under the Phase B of the accelerated road development programme, during the recently concluded NEC meet at Shillong. The Council further reminded the state government of its other demands, including road development programme from Doimukh to Potin via Hoj, road from Nyapin, Koloriang to Chayangtajo, road from Huri-Damin to Taksing besides executing hydel projects on Kurung Kumey, Pare, Subansiri, Kamla and Pachuk rivers, immediate creation of municipal corporations and organising Subansiri River Festival at Ziro the headquarters of Lower Subansiri district.
