Moderate quake jolts southern Sumatra

New Delhi, Feb 19 (UNI) A moderate earthquake, measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale, today rattled southern Sumatra, the Meteorological Department said.

The temblor, which occurred at 2043 hrs, was epicentred at 5 degrees south latitude and 103.6 degrees east longitude, it added.

There were no immediate reports of fatalities and property loss.
