Fracture in railway track affects rail traffic

Banda, Feb 19 (UNI) Rail traffic at the Banda-Chitrakoot-Allahabad railway line was affected, following the fracture in railway track in this district of Uttar Pradesh.

According to sources, the incident occurred near the Khurhan railway station last evening, where the Jhansi-Chitrakoot Mela special train driver found the track fractured.

Meanwhile, the incident affected the rail traffic at the Banda-Chitrakoot-Allahabad railway line for over three hrs.

The trains could only leave after the track was repaired.
