Five killed as bus collides with truck
Jaipur, Feb 19 (UNI) Five people were killed and 10 others injured when a state Roadways bus rammed into an overturned container truck, lying on the road on the Delhi-Jaipur highway in Jaipur district early morning today.
According to police, the accident occured around 0400 hrs in the morning near Chandwaji. The container truck, loaded with heavy machines, lost control, rammed into the divider and overturned.
Just then, a roadways bus bound for Tijara from Udaipur collided with the overturned truck and overturned.
Five passengers on the bus died on the spot. The deceased have been identified as driver Shishupal Singh, 40 from Alwar, co-driver Tikam Singh,45 from Bharatpur, passenger Anit Saxena, 30 from Ajmer, Pooja, 25 from Ajmer and Bajlal, 65 from Viramgram in Gujarat.
Ten others injured have been admitted to Sawai Man Singh Hospital here.
