CPI(ML) to stage demonstration before Bihar assembly

Samastipur, Feb 19 (UNI) The CPI(ML) will stage a demonstration before the Bihar Legislative Assembly on February 23 to protest the alleged failure of the Nitish Kumar government in executing various development and welfare schemes.

Talking to reoporters, CPI(ML) leader Dhirendra Jha today said the NDA government in Bihar had failed on all fronts, adding it could not even fulfil its pre-poll promise.

''Tall claims of the NDA government of providing jobs to unemployed and improving the law and order situation in the state had been proved to be only political gimmicks'', he added.

Reports of irregularities in preparation of the list of the people living Below Poverty Line (BPL) were received from several districts but the state government failed to rectify them, he alleged.

Mr Jha also criticised the UPA government at the Centre for adopting the anti-farmers policy and said the party would launch agitation on the issue if Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh failed to take remedial steps soon.
