Colombia's foreign minister resigns over scandal
BOGOTA, Feb 19 (Reuters) Colombia's Foreign Minister Maria Consuelo Araujo said she resigned today a few days after her senator brother was arrested on suspicion he had helped finance illegal paramilitaries.
Her resignation is another blow to President Alvaro Uribe in a growing scandal linking some of his congressional allies to the militia bosses, who are accused of crimes such as drug-trafficking and massacres during Colombia's conflict.
