Carpet Expo starts tomorrow

New Delhi, Feb 19 (UNI) Minister of state for textiles E V K S Elangovan will inaugurate the 'India Carpet Expo' here tomorrow, being organised by the Carpet Export Promotion Council.

The three-day event will help promote the exports of handmade carpets.

The fair will have about 300 buyers from all over the world.

The handmade carpet industry being an ideal industry, is integral for Indian economy. It is a rural-based cottage industry, providing huge employment opportunities to rural people.
