AR troops destroy NSCN(IM) camp

Imphal, Feb 19 (UNI) The troops of 13 Assam Rifles (AR) have destroyed an NSCN (IM) camp at Manipur's Ukhrul district.

An Assam Rifles spokesman today said a major operation was launched after getting information about presence of militants.

The operation, which lasted for about 12 days, started on February 5 in which the troops cordoned off the camp for where 60 to 70 armed cadres were camping.

The PRO further said that by yesterday all the camps were destroyed.
