AI, Indian merger progressing well: Minister

Kochi, Feb 19: Union Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel today said the merger of Air India and Indian was progressing well.

Speaking to reporters after the Consultative Meeting on Civil Aviation here, Mr Patel said the Ministry had talks with employees and unions to assure better wages and wage parity.

The Minister said the unions were assured that the airlines would not be privatised at any cost.

Mr Patel said a discussion with the Group of Ministers on the merger would be held on February 21.
