Snow fall likely in Northern states

Pune, Feb 18 (UNI) Rain or snow are likely to occur at a few places in Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Tamil Nadu, at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Dry weather will prevail over Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Marathwada, Telangana and Lakshadweep.

Cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Uttaranchal and Punjab.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, east Uttar Pradesh and in remaining parts of Punjab. They were below normal in some parts of Konkan, Goa, south Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and south Chhattisgarh.

The temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in some parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu. They were above normal in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, in remaining parts of Gujarat, Marathwada and Tamil Nadu. They were normal over rest of the country.

Very light rain or snow had occurred at isolated places in Uttaranchal and Himachal Pradesh.

Very light rain had occurred at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, Rayalaseema and south interior Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers had occurred at a few places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, at isolated places in West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa and Kerala.

Dry weqather prevailed over Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, coastal Karnataka and north interior Karnataka.
