Puducherry,Feb 18(UNI) Police are on the look out for the miscreants who allegedly ransacked an automobile workshop at the Aurobindo Street here last night.

According to police, the workshop owned by one Ramesh of Ariyankuppam was found ransacked this morning and about 75 two-wheelers thrown into the road.

The shop was sold to another person and Ramesh had already been asked to vaccate the premises.

However, he did not heed to the request. It is suspected the new owner of the shop had hired some people to vacate the workshop.

Ramesh had preferred a complaint with the Grand Bazaar Police alleging a loss of Rs three lakh had been incurred by him following the incident.

Meanwhile, automobile mechanics here today put up a road blockade on the Annasaalai demanding the arrest of the culprits. Police held talks with them and dispersed the agitators.

Police are also investigating into the case of about 75 two wheelers without RC books in the workshop.
