Ratlam horror: 48 more bones found
Ratlam, MP, Feb 18 (UNI) A polythene bag containing 48 human bones was found this evening during the excavation of abandoned septic tanks by a JCB machine on the premises of a local missionary hospital where skeletal remains of infants were being unearthed since yesterday.
The police have arrested Ratlam Christian Hospital Superintendent P William and sweeper Jagram. District Collector J L Malpani formed a five-member team led by Civil Surgeon K C Pathak, who is to submit a report within a week.
''The team includes Pediatrician R J Kaushal, Gynaecologist Mamta Sharma, the Ujjain-based Pollution Control Board's Dr Lalita Sharma and Dr Pradeep Khare,'' Mr Malpani said at a press conference.
''Hospital records reveal that about 300 deliveries and 35 abortions took place last year,'' said Deputy Inspector-General Varun Kapoor.
