North-easternly winds leaves Rajasthan cold

Jaipur, Feb 18 (UNI) Cold conditions persist in Rajasthan as north-easternly icy winds continue to blow across the state,though the minimum temperature has gone up by at least 2 to 3 degree Celsius at many places.

Ganganagar was cold at 7.6 degree Celsius today, becoming the coldest place in the state among the plains.

Although the temperature increased by 1 degree Celsius from yesterday in the state capital, yet the cold winds today are forcing people to keep their woollies on. The minimum temperature recorded here was 11 degree Celsius.

According to Weather Office, the north-easterly winds have been responsible for the cold this February.

Pilani in Jhunjhunu recorded 11.7 City of lakes Udaipur degree Celsius, 10.4 degree Celsius, Churu 12.6, Bharatpur 11.4 and Sawai Madhopur 14.1 degree Celsius, Barmer 17.3, Ajmer 14.6, Jodhpur 15.4, Jhalawar 13, Kota 13.5 and Rawatbhata 18, degrees Celsius.
