Maoists kill man for spying

Ranchi, Feb 18 (UNI) CPI (Maoist) today shot dead a person at his Dhawadih village under lesliganj block of Jharkhand's Palamu district.

Police said that two Maoist ultras gunned down Ashok Saw at Adhmania tola of Dhawadih village for his alleged spying for police.

In another incident at least six children were injured when a greanade exploded in Hazaribagh district.

Police said the accident occurred when the children from Silwar village went to graze their cattle in the forest area and tried to detach the copper portion of the grenade.

The injured had been admitted to hospital.

Meanwhile, DIG, BSF, Balbir Singh said the children often enter into the military firing range to collect copper from the area.
