Death toll from Baghdad twin car bombs at 55-police

BAGHDAD, Feb 18 (Reuters) A twin car bomb attack in the mostly Shi'ite New Baghdad district of Iraq's capital killed 55 people and wounded 128 today, police said.

They had earlier put the death toll at 30. It was the worst attack since Iraqi and US troops launched a new offensive against militants in Baghdad last Wednesday.
