Bihar attracting investors : Nitish

Patna, Feb 18 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said the investment proposals of Rs 27,000 crore had been approved during the current fiscal which would accelerate the pace of development in Bihar.

After flagging off 'run for development' here, Mr Kumar said with the co-operation of all sections of society, Bihar would achieve the status of a developed state by 2015.

''Law and order in the state has witnessed a remarkable change exuding the confidence of private sectors to invest in Bihar,''he added.

'' With a view to exploiting the vast potential of development in Bihar, the government has constituted the investment promotion board to facilitate the smooth clearance of investment proposals from the private sectors'' he said.

In another function organised to mark the launching of several welfare and development schemes in Barh, Mr Kumar exhorted the oppressed sections of society to send their children to schools as education was the only key to their prosperity and development.''The process of recruitment of 2.35 lakh teachers was on to improve the education standard in the government schools'' he added.
