10 naxals surrender before DSP Sowmya Mishra
Warangal, Andhra Pradesh, Feb 18: Ten naxals belonging to various groups, surrendered before District Superintendent of Police Sowmya Mishra today.
Addressing a press conference here, she said two women, an area committee member belonging to Janasakthi, a zonal committee secretary and deputy commander of Praja Prathighatana and deputy commander belonging to CPI(ML) Prathighatana were among the surrendered insurgents.
Ms Mishra said naxal leaders were engaged only in fund collection and misuse of party funds for selfish interests.
She added that they also involved in killing innocent people in the name of revolution and appealed to party cadres to join the mainstream.
The SP also assured them of appropriate rehabilitation package and necessary help from the government.
