Two pilgrims drowned

Chittoor, Feb 17 (UNI) Two pilgrims drowned while taking a holy dip on the occasion of 'Mahasivaratri' at Talakona water falls near here last evening.

Police said one of the pilgrims accidently slipped, throwing him to flowing waters below and another pilgrim, who tried to rescue him also met the same.

The bodies were fished out today and sent for post-mortem.

The deceased were identified as Krishaniah (38) hailing from Tirupati and Sankaraiah (22) of Chittoor, police added.
