Subodh Mohite to join Congress tomorrow

Mumbai, Feb 17 (UNI) Former Union Heavy Industries Minister Subodh Mohite will formally join the Congress tomorrow in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh.

Mr Mohite, representing Ramtek in the Lok Sabha resigned from the membership of the Lok Sabha as well as his party Shiv Sena earlier this week.

Revenue Minister Narayan Rane and Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Prabha Rau will also be present.

Mr Mohite claimed that he was humiliated by the Shiv Sena leadership and termed the 'insult' as that of the people of his constituency.

He would make a detailed statement on the reasons why he left Shiv Sena during his formal joining of the Congress tomorrow, he said.
