New Delhi, Feb 17 (UNI) Emboldened by the Supreme Court verdict disqualifying 13 BSP MLAs who had defected to the Samajwadi Party, the BJP today decided to seek disqualification of 10 of its legislators who cross voted in favour of the Mulayam Singh Yadav government when the motion of confidence was put to vote on January 25.

Announcing the party's decision,taken at a high-level meeting, BJP Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that they had already asked Leader of the Opposition in UP Assembly Lalji Tandon to immediate meet the Assembly Speaker and seek the disqualifiction of these ten members.

The members are Mr Shivendra Singh, Mr Mahendra Singh Yadav, Mr Shobaran Singh, Mr Chhote Lal Verma, Mr Ravindra Pundir, Mr Sandeep Agarwal, Mr Shyam Aherwal, Mr Amarjit Singh, Mr Chandramani Kant Singh and Mr Rajiv Pratap Singh.

Mr Naqvi said that the party had earlier approached the speaker to disqualify its three MLAs who had signed the register in support of the Mulayam Singh Government five months back in September. The Party regretted that the Speaker had not taken any decision so far.
