MP donates blood

Puducherry, Feb 17 (UNI) PMK MP Prof.Dhanraj and 250 youths from his Tindivanam parliamentary constituency donated blood at the Jipmer hospital here today.

Later M.Dhanraj told newspersons that the gesture was to ensure that there would not be any scarcity of blood in the hospital in Puducherry. Blood would also be supplied to the government general hospital here,he added.

Mr.Dhanraj said people from his constituency were coming to Jipmer and GH Puducherry for treatment and even accident cases were also being rushed to Jipmer.

But on some occasions, operations could not be performed on accident victims immediately due to the scarcity of blood and non-availability of some rare groups, he added.
