MP bypoll: BJP nominee submits papers

Raisen, MP, Feb 17 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Shashiprabha Singh today submitted her nomination papers for the bypoll to the Udaypura Assembly constituency.

Ms Singh led a procession to the workplace of the District Returning Officer D C Singh. Among those present were Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, former chief minister Sunderlal Patwa, MP Rampal Singh and several workers.

''The Congress is struggling against internal dissent,'' Mr Chouhan alleged while addressing a public meeting. Referring to the 'rally politics' of Guna MP Jyotiraditya Scindia versus All India Congress Committee General Secretary and former chief minister Digvijay Singh, the Chief Minister added that the Congress fued had spilt onto the streets.
