Longodhbhava Darshan performed amidst heavy rush

Srikalahasthi Andhra Pradesh, Feb 17(UNI ) Lingodhbhava Darshan was performed today amidst heavy rush as minor stampede took place inside the temple on the occassion of Mahasivarathri However, no one was injured, despite a large number of pilgrims becoming restive, as they were made to wait in the queues for the convenience of the VIPs.

The pilgrims shouted slogans against temple authorities for issueing more VIP passes and even threatened to quit the queues, but the police officials rushed to the spot and controlled the situation.

The temple Executive Officer G V Narasimhamoothi said compared to last year the inflow of pilgrims had increased. Villagers protested over the introduction of Rs 50 as ticket charge for the darshan of Lord, he added.
