Development to be poll plank: Chouhan

Gwalior, Feb 17 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said the Bharatiya Janata Party would contest the bypolls to Gwalior and Sidhi Lok Sabha constituencies and Udaypura Assembly seat on the basis of development and public welfare.

''The BJP's policies and issues will also form the basis,'' he told mediapersons here after state Tourism and Sports Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia submitted her nomination papers from Gwalior.

Responding to a question on the anti-incumbency factor, the chief minister said he observed ''no such thing''.

''Infighting is keeping the Congress busy,'' he added.

On being asked about former MP Jaibhansingh Pawaiyya not being given the ticket, Mr Chouhan said Mr Pawaiyya would work for the party here and if the need arose would be sent to Sidhi and Udaypura also.
