Snow fall likely in Himachal Pradesh

Pune, Feb 16 (UNI) Rain or snow are likely to occur at isolated places in Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Haryana, Punjab, north Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Dry weather will prevail over Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, south Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Karnataka and Kerala.

Cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya and Uttaranchal.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Orissa, south Madhya Maharashtra, coastal and south interior Karnataka and in remaining parts of Assam, Meghalaya and Uttaranchal.

The temperatures were below normal in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and in parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Konkan, Goa, south Chhattisgarh and in parts of Orissa.

They were appreciably above normal in Gujarat, in parts of Rajasthan, Haryana, coastal Andhra Pradesh, in parts of west Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, north Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha and Tamil Nadu, while the temperatures were normal over rest of the country.

Very light rain or snow had occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh.
