Priyanka Chopra case transferred to Indore
Indore, Feb 16: A local court has ordered transfer of a case filed against actress Priyanka Chopra to Indore from Mhow and fixed next hearing on February 22.
Disposing an application filed by the actress, Chief Judicial Magistrate A P Rahul yesterday said the criminal case filed by Priyanka's former secretary Prakash Jaju be heard by First Class Judicial Magistrate U S Muvel.
Jaju had moved a petition in a Mhow court against Priyanka and her father Ashok Chopra over alleged threat by underworld don Chhota Shakeel at their behest over a financial dispute.
Priyanka's counsel Chandra Shekhar Raikwar sought transfer of the case stating the actress faced threat to her life at Mhow and her visit there would disturb peace.
Following financial dispute among them, Priyanka had also registered FIR against Jaju in Mumbai.
