Nobel Laureate Amartya Sen awarded

Santiniketan, Feb 16 (UNI) Nobel Laureate Prof Amartya Sen was today conferred the Acharya Dinesh Chandra Sen Memorial Gold Award for his contribution towards literature and society.

The award was presented to him by the Acharya Dinesh Chandra Sen Research Society.

Speaking at the award function, Prof Sen said, ''I am honoured to receive this award as I have always been inspired by Acharya Dinesh Chandra Sen's writings.'' UNI
