MLS Group launches operations in Chennai

Chennai, Feb 16: The UK-based MLS Group, leading office space provider, today launched its first business centre in the city at a cost of Rs 4.5 crore.

Announcing this at a press meet, MLS Group CEO Paul Barrington Williams said, 'with nine years of experience in highly competitive market in UK, we are confident of becoming a successful player in India'.

'MLS has rich experience in putting up high quality, flexible and affordable office space for the benefit of business customers who look for medium to short term quality commercial space', he said, adding 'another facility over 15,000 sq ft will be ready in Chennai by the third quarter of this calendar year'.

Mr Paul also said the MLS Group would invest over Rs 25 crore in the country by the end of the financial year 2007-2008, wherein five new centres would become operational.

'Our strategy in India is to captilise on opportunities in key high growth emerging markets not just in metros but in tier II cities like Mysore, Coimbatore, Hyderabad and Pune', he said, adding 'our information shows that there is a big demand for quality commercial space for all sectors specially MNCs, who were moving in to set up base in the country'.

'MLS has entered into a tie up with international property agents like Jones Lang LaSalle, CB Richard Ellis South Asia and Colliers International to market the space', he claimed.
