Emirate Airlines aircraft hit by bird
Kolkata, Feb 16 (UNI) A Kolkata-bound Emirate Airlines aircraft was reportedly hit by a bird while it was descending on the runway at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport this morning, officials said.
The aircraft carrying 260 passengers, however, landed safely in Kolkata. No damage was reported.
The commander of the aircraft has informed the air traffic control that he suspected that a bird had hit the right side of the engine.
A senior AAI official said the engineers found ''injection'' of an object in the right side of the engine.
