Cyclonic winds, rain make temps dip in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Feb 16 (UNI) Temperatures dipped over two degrees in many places including the state capital due to mild circulation of north-eastern cyclonic winds.

Intermittent drizzle began in Jaipur from last evening which continued haltingly late into night. Accompanying cold winds made the temperature fall further two degrees, mapping 9.4 degrees Celsius. Ganganagar recorded 8.8 degrees Celsius and remained the coldest in the state today.

Bharatpur recorded 4.6 mm rainfall Dholpur 1 mm, Jaipur and Churu 0.3 mm and traces in Sikar and Jhunjhunu.

According to weather office, weather which was turning a bit warm turned around with circulation of north-easterly cyclonic winds and rainfall in some places.

According to weather office, Pilani recorded 10.1 degrees Celsius, Dholpur 10.2 degrees, Udaipur 10.4 degrees, Churu 11 degrees Celsius, Ajmer 11.4 degrees, Sawai Madhopur and Jaisalmer 12 degrees Celsius, Bharatpur 12.2 degrees, Bikaner 12.6 degrees, Jhalawar 13.4 degrees Celsius, Barmer 13.6 degrees, Jodhpur 14 degrees, Kota 14.1 degrees and Rawatbhata 16 degrees Celsius.

The weather office has predicted rain with thunder in some northern parts of the state.
