Biker policeman on India trail

Nagpur, Feb 16 (UNI) Bangalore-based police officer, on a mission to ride across India in 30 days on his motorcycle to enter the Limca Book of Records, reached here today.

Prakruthi N Banvasi told UNI, ''I have been taking up motorcycle rides as it is my passion and this time I want to cover a distance of 16,288 km in 30 days.'' Mr Banvasi began his journey yesterday with Kannada actor Punith Rajkumar flagging him off, and covered 1,168 km distance from Bangalore to Nagpur in a day.

His location is being tracked by officials of the Limca Book of Records with the help of global-positioning system.

A law graduate from National Law School of India University, Mr Banvasi has successfully completed 'The Karnataka Trail' of 3,181.2 kms in 5.5 days and 'The South India Trail' of 5,133 kms in 12 days on his motorcycle.
