Bernard Matthews says maintaining Hungary meat ban
LONDON, Feb 16 (Reuters) UK poultry firm Bernard Matthews said today it would maintain its voluntary halt to meat movements to and from Hungary ''until further notice''.
Earlier Britain's Department for Environment Food and Agriculture said the firm would be ending the voluntary suspension between its UK and Hungary operations from midnight today.
Britain has linked the outbreak of bird flu at a Bernard Matthews turkey farm in Suffolk, eastern England, this month to outbreaks in Hungary in January.
