Four Muslims found guilty in Danish terrorism trial
COPENHAGEN, Feb 15 (Reuters) A jury found four Muslim Danes guilty today of planning an attack in Europe in the first verdict in a trial held under Danish anti-terrorism legislation.
Abdul Basit Abu-Lifa, 17, Elias Ibn Hsain, 18, Imad Ali Jaloud, 20, Adnan Avdic, 21, all Danish citizens, could face life in prison, a sentence rarely imposed in Denmark.
The four men were arrested near Copenhagen in October 2005 and accused of trying to obtain weapons and explosives with the aim of carrying out an attack in Europe.
Prosecutors have linked them with the case of three Muslims sentenced to jail last month in Bosnia for planning a suicide attack in Europe.
