Son kills father for refusing intercast marriage proposal

Mumbai, Feb 14 (UNI) Opposing his son's proposal to allow him do the intercast marriage cost him life at Dharavi in northcentral Mumbai yesterday.

Deceased Hanmata Narsappa Kojeri (45) rejected the proposal of his son Ashok Kojeri (21) to do intercast marriage, enraged the latter who stabbed his father on his abdonmen at 1830 hours yesterday, resulting the father succumbing to the injuries, police said here today.

Police have arrested Ashok under section 302 (murder) of Indian Penal code (IPC). The accused, in a statement, said that the deceased had rejected his proposal of intercast marriage when the girls parents had agreed to the purposal.
