Shiv Sena MP resigns from party and LS

New Delhi, Feb 14 (UNI) Mr Subodh Mohite, Shiv Sena MP from the Ramtek constituency in Maharashtra, today resigned from the Lok Sabha and the party.

He made the announcement at a press conference here this evening.

Mr Mohite said he had sent in his resignation to Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee.

There was, however, no confirmation from the Speaker office about the receipt of his resignation. Mr Chatterjee is away on a week-long foreign tour.
