Security reviewed for GVMC polling
Visakhkapatnam, Feb 14 (UNI) City Police Commissioner V S K Kaumudi and Municipal Commissioner M K Meena today reviewed the arrangements for Greater Visakha Municipal Coporation (GVMC) on February 19.
As many as 42 striking parties would be in action in 72 wards and contestants urged to stick to code of conduct, Mr Kaumudi.
After a meeting with representatives of various political parties, officials of Transport and Excise Departments, they appealed to all to observe the model code of conduct in letter and spirt.
To a question, Mr Kaumudi said they had chalked out an action plan to ensure to proper bandoubust for several important events coming up during the next few days including Valentine's Day and India Sri Lankan cricket match on February 17.
Two companies of state police or Armed Reserve had been sought for election bandobust, he added.
