Rains likely in East, northeast

Pune, Feb 14 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, and east Uttar Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur at a few places in west Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Chattisgarh and coastal Andhra Pradesh, and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state, Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Nicobar. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Vidarbha, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts Himachal Pradesh and south Madhya Maharashtra. Cold day conditions prevailed in Punjab, some parts of Haryana and at isolated places in Orissa, Jharkhand and northeast Rajasthan.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in coastal Orissa, south Goa and in some parts of interior Karnataka, and remaining parts of south Madhya Maharashtra, and were below normal in some parts of Madhya Pradesh and Marathwada. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Jammu and Kashmir, Saurashtra, Kutch, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, north coastal Tamil Nadu and in some parts of Punjab, and were above normal in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar, west Rajasthan, Gujarat and south coastal Tamil Nadu.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, Haryana, east Madhya Pradesh and coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers have also occurred at a few places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Saurashtra and Kutch and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, west Rajasthan, east Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, west Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather have prevailed over Vidarbha, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Karnataka and Kerala.
