Pilkington signs MoU with AP Govt

Hyderabad, Feb 14 (UNI) UK based Pilkington Automotive India Private Limited and Andhra Pradesh government today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for manufacturing glass and glazing products.

The MoU was signed by Pilkington Automotive Director Stephan Rosebroch and Andhra Pradesh Commissioner of Industries S Bhattacharya in the presence of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy at the Secretariat, an official press release here said.

Pilkington had proposed to set up manufacturing operations at Achutapuram Mandal in Visakhapatnam District for an investment of Rs 675 crore in a phased manner over a period of five years.

The project would provide employment for about 1500 persons, the release added.
