Jalandhar, Feb 14: Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Director General Maj Gen Javed Zia has expressed satisfaction over the ongoing peace processes between India and Pakistan.

A Pakistani delegation headed by Maj Gen Zia arrived here today for the four-day India-Pakistan bi-annual border meeting being held at the Border Security Force's (BSF) Frontier Headquaters here.

Talking to newspersons on arrival, Maj Gen Zia said, ''The bi-annual meeting is also part of the Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) for the ongoing peace processes between the two neighbours.'' On the increasing incidents of cross-border smuggling of heroin, he said, ''This issue will be discussed seriously as people from both the sides blame each other's country for the production of the deadly drug.''

Regarding the aggressive postures of the Pakistan Rangers during the dailt Retreat Ceremony at the Wagah checkpost, Maj Gen Zia said this issue too will be discussed in the meeting. The BSF jawans have turned down their aggressive postures at the Retreat Ceremony, but the Rangers have refused to do so.
