Need to improve health delivery through IT: It Advisor

Hyderabad, Feb 14 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Information Technology, Advisor, C S Rao today stressed the need for improving Health Delivery system in the country through Information Technology by Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC).

Participating in the nineth Foundation Day celebrations of C-DAC here, Dr Rao said even President APJ Abdul Kalam had stressed upon the need to develop tele-medicine for the benefit of poor. ''This is the area where C-DAC should concertrate'', he added.

Stating that the country had missed the bus in Hardware area, Dr Rao said though, of late, the Government was trying to catch up with it. The Fab unit in the AP will be reality within a year, he added.

He said the IT companies should embark on various aspects of solar cell manufacturing and solar modules to meet the energy demand.
