Missing Novodaya students reach home

Guwahati, Feb 14(UNI) At least seven students of Navodaya Vidyalaya, who went missing from Rupai in Tinsukia district of Upper Asom, finally reached their home at Karnal in Haryana this afternoon much to the relief of their parents and school authorities.

According to an official source, the students from Haryana had sought leave from the school principal to go home. However, the students went missing after the lunch break from February 11 after the Principal denied them leave.

They had boarded the train to Haryana at Tinsukia after running away from the school, police said.

The school authorities and the parents lodged an FIR with the local police of both the states informing about the missing students.

The students finally reached their homes in Haryana on Wedenesday afternoon.
