Metal prices rise on better buying support
Mumbai, Feb 14 (UNI) Metal prices rose on better buying supoort, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said.
In the Ferrous category, copper heavy and copper utensils went up by Rs 800 and Rs 500 per quintal, respectively, on fresh demand.
Brass utencils, Brass cuttings and aluminium utensils shot up by Rs 300, Rs 500 and Rs 100 per quintal, respectively on higher advice.
In the Non-ferrous category, copper wire bars, Aluminium ingot and zinc slab edged up by Rs 600, Rs 100 and Rs 200 per quintal due to improved demand.
Tin slab and Nickel cathode increased by Rs five and Rs 30, respectively, on lesser stock supply.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 29,900, Copper utensils - Rs 28,000, Brass utensils - Rs 22,800, Brass cuttings - Rs 24,000 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 11,700.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 33,100, Aluminium ingots - Rs 14,400, Zinc slab Rs 18,000, Lead ingots - Rs 7,500, Tin slab - Rs 610 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 1,880 (per kg).
