LS Speaker condoles Shyama Charan Shukla's demise

New Delhi, Feb 14 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee today expressed deep sorrow at the passing away of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shyama Charan Shukla.

In a condolence message, Mr Chatterjee described Mr Shukla as a leader of the masses who made significant contributions to the overall development of Madhya Pradesh, particularly during his tenure as Chief Minister of the undivided Madhya Pradesh.

"The fact that he could lead the state as the Chief Minister thrice, is an indication of how popular he was with the people," Mr Chatterjee said.
