Lovers jump before train on V-Day, boy dies

Sriganganagar, Feb 14 (UNI) A youth and his girlfriend jumped before a running train in Hanumangarh district on Valentine's Day today.

According to police, Pawan died on the spot while the Pushpa sustained severe injuries and has been admitted to a government hospital. She has been referred to a hospital in Bikaner.

The police said the incident occured around 0530 hrs in the morning at the Pilibanga railway station. These were loitering at the railway station and sudddenly jumped before a running train. The police have recovered a motorcycle on which they arrived. Pawan belonged to Pilibanga village while Pushpa was a student of Indira Gandhi Memorial College.

The railway police of Pilibanga has lodged a case. Although it is not certain whether the two were lovers, but presuming they jumped before the train together, the police said they probably committed suicide in a planned manner on Valentine's Day.
