Lalu's in-lawstravel sans ticket--a trifle matter: RJD
Patna, Feb 14 (UNI) The RJD today described the reports of Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav's in-laws travelling without vaild tickets in Sampark Kranti Express as 'trifle matter' and said it was being blown out of proportion by some political parties.
National spokesman of RJD Shyam Rajak said here that the old couple, who had a second class ticket, boarded the AC compartment of Sampark Kranti Express at Hajipur due to paucity of time.
''The couple upgraded their tickets on their way to Siwan during the journey and paid the difference amount,'' he said adding there was nothing unusual in the episode.
Mr Rajak said the incident had indicated that there was total transperancy in the railways as even the in-laws of Mr Prasad had to pay the excess charge according to the rules.
