India, Ivory Coast to cooperate in micro, small industries
New Delhi, Feb 14 (UNI) India and Ivory Coast today agreed to cooperate in the sector of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and will exchange business missions to help initiate technology transfer and sustainable alliances.
The MoU in this regard was signed by Small Scale Industries Minister Mahabir Prasad and Ms Amah Marie Tehoua, Ivory Coast's Minister for Industry and Promotion of Private Sector, here.
Both sides agreed to set up a joint committee to monitor the implementation of the MoU.
The two countries also agreed to regularly exchange information relating to MSMEs, development opportunities and possibilities of partnerships, and to work towards their achievement.
The cooperation will also be in: -- Capacity building for developing policy and industrial framework through exchange of experts for the development of MSMEs in Ivory Coast -- Carrying out industrial potential surveys and feasibility studies to identify thrust areas and opportunities for development of MSMEs in Ivory Coast -- Promoting partnership projects and institution-to-institution and enterprise-to-enterprise cooperation between the two countries -- Providing training for improvement of managerial and technical skills for MSMEs -- Organising exhibitions and trade fairs in both countries for marketing of products and small projects UNI
