New Delhi, Feb 14: India, China and Russia today agreed to cooperate in energy sector and economic development and called for building a multi-polar world involving resolution of all international disputes through the UN and opposed militarisation of outer space.

Foreign Ministers of the three countries, who held their Sixth Trilateral meeting here, also strongly condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, observing that all of them, being neighbours and fast-growing economies, should focus on economic development.

A Joint Communique issued after the meeting between External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaixing expressed commitment to multi-lateral diplomacy and expressed conviction that democratisation of international relations was the key to building an increasingly multi-polar world order based on principles of equality of nations, respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity and international law.

They also reaffirmed that their trilateral cooperation was not directed against any other country.

The Ministers acknowledged that the UN is the appropriate instrument for promoting and attaining such a world order.
