HC hands over defalcation probe to vigilance
Patna, Feb 14 (UNI) Patna high court today handed over the investigation in the alleged defalcation of over Rs twenty crore meant for food for work under the centrally sponsored scheme of 'Sampoorna Gramin Rojgar Yojana' in Siwan district, to Bihar vigilance department.
While passing the order on a public interest litigation by Zulfiquar Ali, the division bench headed by Chief Justice J N Bhatt directed the state vigilance department to conclude the probe within five months and submit the report.
Referring to the general report, the petitioner stated that during 2001-05 more than Rs twenty crores had been defalcated during implementation of the project in Siwan district.
